"Callan is a 2 year old, happy little boy who always has a smile on his face! In utero, he was diagnosed with severe congenital heart disease, and as a result he was destined to become a single ventricle circulation baby, requiring a series of three surgeries over the first few years of his life. To further complicate things, Callan arrived in this world two months early. He was born in February 2024 weighing 3 pounds 2 ounces. After 50 days in the NICU, he underwent stage 1 of his surgical pathway in March at CHCO. After a couple months being home, he was back at CHCO for a successful Glenn procedure in July. Since returning home in the fall of 2024, Callan's focus has been on growth and development. He is an adventurous little boy who is always on the go, learning new things everyday. He loves his older sister more than anything and we look forward to another year of continued development while awaiting his Fontan procedure sometime in 2027."
