I have been a Nurse for 23 years and a Pediatric Nurse practitioner for 16 years. I love what I do. This year I'm riding in the Courage Classic to support the NICU. Anything you donate goes directly to the NICU and supporting the families we serve.
We support families through their darkest days. Having a sick infant is one of the hardest things a family can experience. What the NICU staff does daily is truly remarkable.
This year I am riding for Lucy. She is an incredibly resilient 1 year old little girl with strawberry blond hair, bright eyes and two little teeth just surfacing. Every day of her life has been a blessing to those around her. She was born at 26 weeks and daily fought for her life. I am so inspired by her quiet strength to persevere against all the odds. She is truly a miracle in my eyes.
