Over the past 16 years as a pediatric oncology nurse, I have had the privilege of caring for children and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Their strength, resilience, and hope are what inspire me to keep showing up for this ride year after year.
Because this ride is about so much more than cycling.
It’s for the child starting chemotherapy.
For the parent sleeping in a hospital chair.
For the survivor ringing the bell.
For the families carrying both hope and heartbreak.
This year, I’m riding in honor of everyone impacted by cancer — survivors, fighters, those we’ve lost, and the loved ones beside them through it all.
If someone in your life has been affected, donate in their honor and I’ll ride for them. For you.
