Hi everyone!
For those who don't know me, I am a pediatric cardiologist who works at Children's Hospital Colorado. I have dedicated my career to helping children and families affected by congenital heart disease - especially those born with only one functioning ventricle or "half a heart". This year I am excited to ride for Harper. Please take a moment to get to know this amazing little girl! In the words of her mother Amber:
"Harper’s story is one of quiet strength and undeniable light. Born with a rare genetic condition called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, along with HLHS, she has already faced more than most do in a lifetime. Through two open-heart surgeries—most recently the Fontan—she has shown a resilience that inspires everyone around her. Her lungs have also been impacted by her condition which requires daily respiratory treatments. Beyond the medical terms and hardships, Harper is a joyful preschooler, spunky sister and has been described as having "main character energy". She is a living reminder of courage, wonder, and possibility—a true miracle, and a gift her family cherishes every single day"
Please consider donating if you are able to support Harper and the many children like her who receive state of the art care in the Heart Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado,
