I am riding to give hope to Children's Hospital Colorado patients like Edyn.
"Edyn was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. At a week old, Edyn had her first open-heart surgery. After being discharged, she was in and out of the hospital due to hypoxemia. Once she turned three months old, Edyn had her second open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, her recovery from that has been far from smooth. Soon after surgery, she struggled with respiratory issues and has had numerous caths to check pressures, coil collaterals, and stent her left pulmonary artery. Despite all the odds, Edyn continues to fight through the struggles, showing daily strength with her wild hair and wide, toothless smiles. We will forever be grateful to her care team for their kindness, compassion, and determination to find solutions for Edyn’s medical journey."
