Hi Everyone!
I'm riding in this years Courage Classic to help raise money to help care for sweet children such as Emmaus. I first met Emmaus as a newborn. He required close medical management and eventually underwent open heart surgery at a few months of age to repair an atrioventricular septal defect. He is growing and thriving as such a sweet little boy. His parents wrote "He is now 3.5 years old. He is an active and energetic toddler who loves to run, climb, and play. His favorite activities include jumping on the trampoline and playing football. We are so thankful for the incredible care he has received from his cardiac team at Children’s!"
Emmaus, his parents and family have approached all of this with courage, grace and strength all with smiles on their faces. It is a true privilege to be able to care for kids like Emmaus. This ride is dedicated to him and his family and all the kids who come through the Children's Hospital every day!
