For the 8th year, I’ll be riding in the Courage Classic—an 80-mile ride over three mountain passes—to raise money for the Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI) at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
This ride has become much more than a cycling event for me. It’s an opportunity to support a mission that is deeply personal.
Before my current work, I had the privilege of working at PMHI. I saw firsthand the incredible commitment of the physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, therapists, social workers, and staff who care for children, teens, and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I also saw the growing need for pediatric mental health services—a need that continues to increase every year.
Your donation helps fund far more than inpatient care. PMHI provides outpatient services, crisis intervention, prevention programs, and community outreach that help children and families access care before they reach their breaking point.
The reality is sobering: mental health challenges among children and teens continue to rise, and suicide remains one of the leading causes of death for adolescents. These aren’t just statistics—they represent young people and families in our own communities who need hope, treatment, and support.
This is why I ride.
My fundraising goal this year is $1,000, and every gift—whether it’s $25, $50, $100, or more—makes a meaningful difference. If you’re able to contribute, I would be incredibly grateful. If giving isn’t possible right now, sharing this page with others would also mean a great deal.
Thank you for supporting me, for supporting children’s mental health, and for helping the PMHI at Children’s Hospital Colorado continue the life-changing work they do every day.
