On July 18/19 I am riding in honor of Cooper Deming.
Cooper was a deeply loved son, big brother, best friend and dedicated teammate whose life was taken by a DIPG brain tumor 9 years ago, just before his 13th birthday. Not a day goes by without Cooper being missed dearly. Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, or DIPG, is a pediatric cancer with no cure, and almost no medical advancements since the 1950's.
But finally, progress is being made. Researchers at Children's Hospital of Colorado are developing potentially lifesaving technology to disrupt the DIPG tumor, and clinical trials are in the near future! These advancements are long overdue and truly have the potential to make a difference.
Team Climb for Coop has ridden the Courage Classic to fund research over the past 8 years. And this year is more important than ever, as a private donor will match every donation made to the team, dollar for dollar! ALL of these funds will go directly to fund DIPG research.
