Registration and fundraising for the 2026 Courage Classic has begun. My goal is to bring in as many donations to Children's Hospital Colorado as I can.
The ride is scheduled for July 17 and 18. I plan on doing 60 miles at Copper mountain on the first day and then 40 miles at Dillon Reservoir on the following day. At 70 years old, I had a larger gear set put on the back of the bike to make it possible to climb those mountain passes. Regardless, the ride is really for the fundraising. Children's Hospital Colorado is an unbelievably worthy cause.
The team I ride with is Docs-a-Cyclin': Infectious Disease/Epidemiology Team. My daughter, Samantha, is a physician assistant on the infectious disease floor at Children's Hospital and, if the team makes it's fundraising goal then the money will go to support the Endowed Fund for Infectious Disease rather than the hospital general fund. The team goal is $100,000.
The Courage Classic is a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support Children’s Hospital Colorado. Please consider making a donation.
