I’m riding in the Courage Classic to support the incredible patients and families I work with as a pediatric health psychologist in urology at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
The kids I serve are living with complex urogenital conditions such as neurogenic bladder, spina bifida, and other differences that affect how their bodies function every day. Many rely on lifelong medical care including catheterization, surgeries, and intensive treatment routines. Beyond the medical needs, these children and families are navigating something just as important, how to cope, adjust, and thrive.
My role is to support the emotional and behavioral side of care by helping kids build independence with medical routines, supporting parents through overwhelming decisions, and improving quality of life in the face of chronic conditions.
Your donation helps make this work possible. It supports integrated, whole child care where we care for the person behind the diagnosis. It helps ensure that families have access to psychological support as they navigate complex, lifelong conditions.
I ride for kids who show courage every day, not just in big moments, but in the quiet, persistent work of living with medical complexity.
