As a Pediatric ICU nurse, I care for children who are at their most vulnerable, recovering from serious injuries, illnesses, and complex surgeries. The strength these kids show is incredible, but I also see every day how much expert care and strong family support matter in their recovery. That’s why the Courage Classic means so much to me.
The funds raised help us improve care in the PICU through better equipment, education, and training opportunities. I was fortunate to attend the PICU Learning Symposium, which gave me new knowledge and skills that I continue to use in caring for critically ill children and their families.
Riding last year as a family was such a meaningful experience, and we left feeling inspired by the patients and families we met along the way. We are excited to be back again this year, supporting a hospital and mission that mean so much to our family.
