I got involved in raising money for the Children's Hospital about 12 years ago when some friends of mine were spending so much time with the doctors and medical professionals at Children's with their beautiful little girl Samantha. Samantha was born with some medical challenges and together they fought the good fight along with Children's Hospital. After Samantha's passing, Bart, Heather and their family started promoting the Courage Classic through Summit's for Samantha. It's been about 4 years since my last Courage Classic ride but I felt compelled to ride again.
The first days' ride for the Courage Classic is July 18th. For me it will be about 95 miles from my house to Copper Mountain and then over Freemont, Tennessee and Vail Pass. The 2nd day will be about 45 miles up to Loveland Pass and back. I look forward to the ride and the camaraderie and support along the way. I'd appreciate your support as well.
