Dear Family and Friends,
I am riding the Courage Classic alongside my Wheels of Justice teammates to support the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. This is my tenth ride(!) and the path ahead is as meaningful — and urgent — as ever.
I ride to fight against childhood cancer, to lift families navigating unimaginable challenges, and to honor the memories of children who continue to inspire us with their courage.
I ride for Martha Riedel, a remarkable young woman and Wheels of Justice teammate, who passed away at the age of 20 after a seven-year battle with metastatic Ewing sarcoma.
Even while facing relentless treatments, Martha poured her energy into helping others. She advocated for better therapies and research for kids like her. Her courage and love continue to ripple outward, and we ride for her - for her legacy, for her family, and for the work she asked us to carry forward.
This year, I also ride for every child who has survived childhood cancer. Kids like Martha and Trevor advocated for research that is changing outcomes and allowing kids to survive and even thrive!
Please donate — to show all these kids and their families that they are not alone. That we see them. That we are riding, advocating, and giving for them. That more and better treatments will be developed and allow them to survive and thrive!! Thank you!
With gratitude,
Lori
