My commitment to mental health care runs deep. My personal journey started with my father who struggled with anxiety and depression. Growing up, I was ashamed to admit he was an alcoholic. Over a decade ago, I decided I wanted to get involved with working towards solutions to tackle the youth mental health crisis.
Riding in the Courage Classic on the Psyched To Climb team - the only team raising awareness and funds for mental health - is an honor. I proudly co-captain this awesome team and love leading the charge to inspire hope!
This is my 6th year riding. Once again, I'm challenging myself to complete long routes on both days: Day 1: 80 miles , 6400' elev gain. Day 2: 62 miles, 4800' elev gain. What motivates me when my legs are burning and my lungs are desperate for oxygen at our Colorado elevations is knowing that I'm riding for those who have much larger mountains to climb.
I feel privileged to be part of this incredible team and this dedicated community of tireless providers. I invite you to be part of our collective effort! I'll do the riding with your donation fueling me. This year, my goal is raise $16,000. Please consider a gift of $250, $500, $1,000, $1,500 - the bigger the better! Join us and be part of the "butterfly effect" of making an impact on mental health!
To those of you who have supported be in the past, I'm asking you to consider again a generous gift for this worthy cause. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this one of your philanthropic priorities!
Filled with so much gratitude - LET'S BREAK THE STIGMA!
