As a member of the Breathing Institute at Children’s Hospital Colorado, I ride to help advance our mission of providing exceptional care and pioneering research for children with breathing disorders. Our team cares for children with asthma, cystic fibrosis, airway disorders, pulmonary hypertension, sleep-disordered breathing, primary ciliary dyskinesia, children’s interstitial lung disease, and many other complex lung conditions.
This year, I am riding in honor of Angel, a remarkable 13-year-old whose story reminds me why this work matters.
For years, Angel struggled with severe asthma and allergies that led to repeated emergency room visits and countless challenges. Despite his symptoms, answers were hard to find. Through the dedicated care of our pulmonary and allergy teams, and access to innovative biologic therapy, Angel’s asthma is now under much better control. He needs fewer steroids, spends less time in the hospital, and has the freedom to enjoy life as a typical teenager.
When you support the Courage Classic, you help make stories like Angel’s possible. Your donation helps Children's Hospital Colorado provide world-class care, advance research, develop new treatments, and support programs that help children and families thrive.
Thank you for supporting this ride and for helping us create brighter futures for kids like Angel.
