I am supporting the Courage Classic because of the amazing care and incredible treatment they offer the youth of Colorado and beyond.
My son, Bobby, spent five and a half months at Children's in 2008. Tragically, he did not survive. We were crushed beyond imagination. Children's did everything they could think of right until the end. And while Bobby was there, the care and companionship he received was amazing: late night talks with the night nurses, visits from a therapist, visits from sports celebrities, and an incredible welcome to us, his family, and all his friends.
And so since then, the Courage Classic holds us together. Each year, we ride together (look for us in our tie-dye jerseys), sometimes two or three, sometimes up to thirty remembering Bobs and celebrating and supporting Children's.
