Isaac and Micah 2025 Courage Classic

I am supporting the Courage Classic for kids like Micah.

Micah is a good friend and classmate of our son, Isaac. Micah went through cancer treatment for a brain tumor from 6-8 years old. Micah has received amazing care from Children's Hospital Colorado, originally for the brain tumor, and now for ongoing care of treatment related side effects.

Isaac is excited to show his support for his friend Micah and for the hospital as he rides for the 2nd time this upcoming July. Our entire family is excited to show up to ride in support of Micah and all that Children's Hospital does.

We are riding with the Wheels of Justice Team, which raises money for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, to 1) advance pediatric cancer research, and 2) to support the wellness of kids going through cancer treatment and their families. The CCBD treats patients from across a multi-state area, while also contributing to ground-breaking research in pediatric cancers and blood disorders in order to help children around the world.

This year the Wheels team is honoring survivors of childhood cancer in order to raise more awareness related to the ongoing care required to support survivors, including but not limited to, managing long-term medical complications caused by the chemotherapy, radiation, and tumors themselves; developmental challenges related to the treatments; and risk of cancer recurrences.

We participate for kids like Micah: kids who show courage every single day. And we participate to support the caregivers who make stories like his possible.

However, teams which reach a certain fundraising threshold may designate the gifts they raise to support a specific Children's Hospital Colorado program or service line.
