In about 3 short weeks I'll be riding in the Courage Classic Bike Tour.
As many of you know, I'm an RN working in adult med-surg- and every day, I see the long-term impact of mental health struggles that were never addressed early on. For the second year in a row, I'm proud to be riding with, Psyched to Climb, a team riding to support pediatric mental health at Children's Hospital Colorado.
We are living in a time when the impact of unaddressed mental health challenges is devastatingly clear-from the rising suicide rates to the growing mental health crisis in schools, emergency rooms, and even our own homes.
Children's Hospital Colorado is working to intervene before children reach a crisis. I believe deeply in this mission-not just as a nurse, but as a parent, a neighbor and someone who witnesses every day when people don't get the help they need early enough.
