This year, I will be riding in the Courage Classic in honor of a very special little heart warrior by the name of Bear. Bear was only a few days old when he underwent his first open heart surgery for a congenital cardiac anomaly called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Bear has just undergone his third open heart surgery, right before he turned 3 years old. I couldn't be more honored to ride for him. Please consider donating to support heart warriors like Bear. Courage Classic donations in general support the Children's Fund, which serves the greatest needs of our patients. However, teams which reach a certain fundraising threshold may designate the gifts they raise to support a specific Children's Hospital Colorado program or service line.
