I'm back! This will be my first time riding since 2019 (the 2020 Classic was virtual). I'm training hard for the July 18-19 ride based at Copper Mountain Resort. I'll be riding over mountain passes at more than 10,000 feet above sea level. It's great to be on my bicycle again.
The Courage Classic benefits Children's Hospital Colorado, where I was a patient for three weeks when I was five years old. Our team, Wheels (the largest team in the Classic), focusses on the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's. The Center (and the Hospital) do so much to help children with cancer in the Rocky Mountain region.
Since I'm back after a long time away, I want to make a big fundraising splash this year. My goal is to raise at least $3,000, which, if I make it, represents the most I've ever raised in one Classic.
I hope you'll donate to support my ride for Children's Hospital Colorado. To demonstrate my personal commitment, I have contributed $250 and will donate another $250 when I reach the $3,000 level.
Thank you for your support and kind generosity! It is deeply meaningful to me.
