Hey, incredible Friends and Family!
I’m about to embark on the Courage Classic Ride from Copper to Vail, and let me tell you, this ride is no joke—3,500 vertical feet of sheer determination! But I’m not just in it for the sweat and the sore legs; I’m riding for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart: Children’s Hospital.
As many of you know, I have spent many years working with kids of all ages! The greatest job (besides being a mom, of course!) was working at Cheley Colorado Burn Camps for children who were burn survivors. When things got tough, whether by climbing a mountain after waking up at 3am, a 3-day backpack or a 3 night horseback, they… never… ever…quit. Not once (or at least we, the counselors didn’t let them!) We pushed them, while they inspired us. And that’s why we ride (and for the fact that cycling saved my late father from decades of addiction, but that’s a tale for another day).
Every dollar you donate will help bring smiles and support to the kids at the hospital, showing them that they’re not alone in their battles. So, I’m asking for your help—let’s show these kids that we care! Join me in this journey, and together, we can make a positive impact while I tackle these hills (and maybe capture a few “I’m dying but still smiling” selfies along the way)!
