I am riding in Courage Classic for patients like Marlowe.
After learning that Marlowe would need a tracheostomy to breathe, her family made the difficult decision to move to Denver, leaving their Steamboat acreage. During this challenging time, celebrating Marlowe's milestones with monthly footprints, creating an individualized name sign, and supporting her development (through occasional dance parties!! ) amidst the chaos of healthcare helped to give this family a home away from home. The incredible community of nurses, therapists, and providers that make up the foundation of Children's Hospital Colorado all worked to make this possible. They are the reason why Marlowe just celebrated her first birthday at home this past February! Happy Birthday Mo :)
Her bright smile and personality could make even the hardest shifts feel rewarding :)
