Hi, I’m Will, and I’m helping raise money for the Courage Classic. It’s a bike ride, but it also helps kids like me who need to go to Children’s Hospital Colorado.
My mom is a Pediatric ICU Nurse, so she helps kids at the hospital every day. When I had a bump on my neck removed, I felt a little scared because it was right where I could see it. But my mom was with me, and she told me everything would be okay. We went to the doctors at Children’s Hospital, and they made me feel better. The nurses and doctors were really nice, and they made my neck feel better by removing my bump and a bandage!
The best part was when the Child Life team gave me a Spider-Man sloth stuffed animal! The Spider-Man sloth made me feel brave and not so scared. Every time I looked at him, I knew I could be brave during my procedure!
My mom told me that the money from the Courage Classic helps kids like me who need doctors to make them feel better. I think it’s really nice because I want other kids to have something fun, like a toy, to help them feel brave too. I want them to know that the doctors and nurses are nice and will help them feel better, just like they did for me.
That’s why I’m riding in the Courage Classic. It’s like riding my bike to help kids who need extra care and love.
Thank you for helping!
