I am supporting the Courage Classic for my amazing patients!
If you don't already know about my work (and I think you might because I love talking about it!) I'm a nurse practitioner at Children's Hospital Colorado in Skeletal Health. I see patients with osteoporosis, genetic conditions that cause bone fragility like osteogenesis imperfecta, and rickets. I love helping make kids' bones stronger which helps them stay active and minimizes pain.
The Courage Classic is an annual 2-day bike ride in Copper Mountain, CO that promotes awareness of Children's Hospital Colorado. Fundraising efforts help promote our mission which includes supporting patient care, research, and some of my personal passion projects like the first Regional Conference for patients with Osteogenesis Imperfecta which I facilitated with the OI Foundation this May.
I hope you will consider donating to support our work, and will be happy to share pictures of the ride!
