In anticipation of my upcoming 50th birthday, I am signing up to ride in this year's Courage Classic with Joel, Oscar, and Hector.
I dream of a world where kids do not die by suicide and can easily access care when they are suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems. This will be a world where mental health problems and traumas are caught early, empowering every child to grow up to become a healthy, productive, caring and cared-for adult. I want this for all kids, and I know you do too.
I am so proud to work for Children's Hospital Colorado, the very first health system to call out our youth mental health crisis.
Children's Colorado is changing lifetimes by opening up access to care, expanding the youth mental health workforce, advancing research that will improve treatment options, and going hoarse speaking up for youth mental health in Colorado and nationally.
