This summer, I'm riding in my third annual Courage Classic — a two-day ride through Colorado’s stunning Rocky Mountains — all to raise money for Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Each year, I have the amazing opportunity to ride in honor of a young warrior, and this year I have the absolute pleasure of dedicating my ride to Lainey.
From her mother, Kelsey:
Lainey Grace was born on August 28th, 2024 with a complex heart: coarctation of the aorta, VSD, ASD, bicuspid valve, and small left-sided structures. She had her first open heart surgery at just 8 days old, and another at 16 days to further repair her aortic arch. After discharge, we found her arch was narrowing again. At 7 months, Lainey became the second baby in Colorado to receive a new infant-sized stent designed to grow with her and reduce future surgeries. Through it all, she’s been the happiest, smiliest, most snuggly little girl. We love you so much, sweet Lainey!
