Hi there!
You may know that I worked at Cheley Colorado Camps for five summers and have many friends who ended their summers working with burn survivors at Burn Camp. I've never worked at Burn Camp, but I'm inspired by the life-changing impact camp has on kids who want to experience the outdoors in a nurturing, fun, and inclusive environment. I'm riding the Courage Classic again this year to support Burn Camp's mission and give more children the opportunity to go to camp. We're raising money for Children's Hospital Colorado to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
Since its inception in 1983, Burn Camp programming has strived to meet the specific needs of children who have sustained burn injuries by providing a residential camp program with world-class medical care from professional camp staff, dedicated staff from referring burn units, and community service partners. Burn Camp is celebrating 42 years this summer and is more important for campers than ever. These young burn survivors need programming and peer interaction to support their growth and development and connect with the great outdoors.
This year I am riding the 80-mile Copper Triangle and 60-mile Loveland Pass route on July 19th and 20th. Your support means so much to me and the parents and families at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Thank you for stopping by and supporting this effort!
