Hi! I'm Mike Frazzini and this is my fifth year riding for the Cardiac Climbers in the Children's Hospital Colorado Courage Classic. This year I will be riding for Elias!
"Elias Lukas was born on November 21st, 2023 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Elias underwent his Norwood surgery and a couple months later, underwent a valve repair surgery. Elias was 4 months old when his valve repair failed. This allowed Elias to become a candidate for a heart transplant. Elias awaited 161 days inpatient before receiving his Hero Heart. Since Elias’ birthdate, his mom and dad had to temporarily relocate to Denver, 12 hours away from their home state. Elias & his parents stayed in Denver for nearly the first 2 years of his life. Finally, in January of 2025, Elias was able to return to his actual home in New Mexico and meet all his family and friends who patiently waited for the day his parents got to bring him home! He has been thriving since, rapidly meeting milestones that his family could have never imagined! He continues to thrive and his family is endlessly grateful for all wonderful nurses, medical assistants, respiratory specialists, therapists, cardiologists, volunteers, housekeepers, nonprofit organizations, sponsors, and most importantly, his surgeons and his donor for making a future for Elias.
