I'm riding in the Courage Classic for Evit.
Evit Plowman was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome at Children’s Hospital Colorado, a condition requiring a series of 3 open-heart surgeries to reroute blood flow through a single ventricle. His family temporarily relocated from Northwest Montana to ensure he received the best possible care and he underwent his first open heart surgery at just 8-days old.
Now 3-years old and thriving after all 3 staged surgeries, Evit is a spirited preschooler who is insect-obsessed, full of curiosity and adored by his 2 big sisters. He’s taught his family the power of resilience and the importance of embracing joy in everyday life. His journey wouldn’t be possible without the extraordinary care team at CHCO, whose dedication has forever shaped his story and his future.
