Over the years I’ve had the incredible honor of caring for countless babies as a NICU nurse. It’s been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life- full of challenges, growth, and unforgettable moments. This year marks a major milestone in my career as I transition from NICU nurse to Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. While my role is changing, there are some things that will always remain the same. My heart remains deeply rooted in the NICU. My love and dedication to these tiny fighters and their families is as strong as ever.
That’s why I’m proud to once again ride in the Courage Classic to support the NICU and Children’s Hospital Colorado- an organization that has been my home and heart for nearly a decade. I’ll be riding 120 miles over two days through the beautiful mountains surrounding Copper mountain, alongside my amazing NICU team, Spinning Spokes for the Littlest Folks.
This years ride holds a very special place in my heart. I am dedicating my ride to Miles, one of my primary patients whom I had the privilege of caring for over the last year. Miles and his twin brother, Owen, were born prematurely. While Owen now watches over his brother as his guardian angel, Miles continues to grow with incredible strength and resilience- an inspiration to all that know his story. When the mileage gets long and the climb gets harder, I think of these beautiful boys and their challenging journey as I ride.
This also marks my sixth Courage Classic tour, and the fifth year riding with my father, Jeffrey, whose support means the world to me. Everyone who is familiar, knows how strong and deep the bike bond runs between this Mozingo duo.
Every mile we ride is a tribute- to the strength of babies like Miles, the love of families like his, and the unwavering dedication of the NICU team I’m so lucky to be apart of. Your continued support helps bring hope and healing to our tiniest patients- and I’m so grateful for it.
Thank you for cheering us on and helping make a lasting difference.
