...and it ain’t getting any easier!
Since my retirement from Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation last year, I have remained committed as a donor to this incredible institution. Riding in the Courage Classic with our Psyched to Climb for the 6th year in a row is such a privilege! Supporting the monumental work that Children’s Colorado is accomplishing for kids who are up against debilitating mental health challenges is an honor (even if my body doesn’t quite feel that way after climbing those mountain passes)!
This year, our Psyched to Climb team is again getting into gear to ride together in our 6th year at the Courage Classic. We are the only team raising funds to address the continued mental health crisis our state faces.
Philanthropy is the catalyst that helps move the many advancements in pediatric mental health care that our generous community has made possible over the past year. Recent accomplishments include: the launching of a crisis care clinic for youth ages 10-17 and their families who are directly referred from our ED; improving care transitions for mental health patients to ensure successful movement from hospital services to community-based care so when patients enter the care system, they will get the exact help they need; and the opening of a child intensive anxiety outpatient program that launched therapeutic summer camps for children with OCD and social anxiety. The camps provide innovate, effective treatment during the summer months.
My commitment to mental health care runs deep for many reasons and I know that many of you have benefited from the care of Children’s Hospital with your own children. Because of donors like you, Children's Colorado is beginning to see a positive effect on our patients.
MY GOAL IS TO RAISE $25,000 THIS YEAR AND I AM ASKING THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE SUPPORTED MY 21 PAST RIDES WILL AGAIN CONSIDER A GENEROUS GIFT TO SUPPORT THIS WORTHY CAUSE.
