Once again, I am participating in the Courage Classic Bicycle Tour in July to raise money for Children's Hospital Colorado patients and families. I set a goal to raise $2000 because I want to help Children's Colorado ensure healthier futures for kids.
This year I won't be on the bike, but I will be hiking the Colorado Trail, and there in spirit with my team.
I support Team Summits for Samantha. Samantha was a little girl who died from an inherited mitochondrial disease. The money this team raises is a lifeline for people with mitochondrial disease, supporting the Mitochondrial Clinic at Children's Colorado. This clinic provides care for people with mitochondrial disease, and helps supply them with expensive nutritional supplements that help keep mitochondrial disease in control. And the clinic also conducts cutting edge research into how to manage and cure mitochondrial disease.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge for me, but also an opportunity for all of us to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
Thank you for your generosity!
