I ride in honor of Leonarda, named in honor of her great grandmother. Born in May of 2024, she was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with Torticollas, a condition which made it difficult for her to turn her head. As described by her grandmother, this little sassy diva overcame this condition through physical therapy and specifically designed exercises. When she was approximately nine months old, she also underwent a gastrostomy to insert a G-tube. This surgery was necessary to ensure her body receives the proper nutrition and fluids. Leonarda will require ongoing physical and feeding therapy.
To our donors and potential donors, because of your generosity, the staff at Children's Hospital will continue to do everything they can to ensure Leonarda has a good quality of life and that her parents will continue to receive the financial and emotional support they need.
Thank you,
The Lupton Peddlers
