Why I ride
This will be my 25th year to ride in the Courage and I appreciate each one of you supporting me through the years.
Since my first year riding the Courage Classic Tour in 1997 people have asked me why I choose to support this ride each year. It always seemed like a fantastic charity, and watching the young patients complete the ride each year is humbling and inspirational, but I did not have a clear answer to the question except it always felt like the right thing to do. This year I have a new answer to the question of why we support this fantastic charity event. Yesterday my daughter Sara started a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children's Hospital in Denver, making this year's event extremely special to our family. For the next several years she will be training at the hospital and be a member of the care team that we are supporting!
