This July 19th and 20th, I'm riding for something bigger than myself❤
As many of you know, I'm an RN working in adult med-surg- and every day, I see the long-term impact of mental health struggles that were never addressed early on. This year, I'm proud to be participating in the Courage Classic Bike Tour with Psyched to Climb, a team riding to support pediatric mental health at Children's Hospital Colorado.
We are living in a time where the impact of unaddressed mental health is devastatingly clear-from the rising suicide rates to the growing mental health crisis in schools, emergency rooms, and even our own homes.
Children's Hospital Colorado is working to intervene before the crisis. I believe in this mission deeply-not just as a nurse, but as a parent, a neighbor and someone who sees every day what happens when the system fails people too long.
