My sister and I volunteering last year
I am fundraising for the Rehab Cycling Team that supports summer and winter programs for patients of Children's Hospital Colorado. I was a participant in the winter ski program for 10 years. Since then I have volunteered through ARCH (Adaptive Recreation for Childhood Health) for almost 10 years, primarily with the ski program.
As a participant, this program significantly impacted my self-confidence and allowed me to challenge myself athletically. Volunteering, I love seeing participants accomplish goals that they set for themselves and gain confidence and other skills that translate into various aspects of life.
