I ride for my son, Matthew, who was a Children's Hospital patient for six years as valiant doctor's battled his disease with the latest therapies available. Though we lost Matt to cancer in 2002, I continue to support the hospital and all the great causes it stands for, especially the children who reside there now. This will be my 22nd year participating in the Courage Classic and each year the cause becomes greater as doctors get better at treating and curing so many injuries and ailments pertaining to children, and now that we have a hospital in Colorado Springs, children here are helped closer to home.
