2025: Team Forza's Seventeen(th)!
The idea and concept that Team Forza would still be riding, still fundraising all these years later never even crossed my mind from the get-go.
We are/were an Air Force Family, scattered to the four corners, so finding time together has always been challenging. The team's formation focused solely on a reunion of sorts...getting together with my brother and Dad, riding bikes, and giving back to the Colorado Community. However, after that very first Courage Classic, we knew this was something special, something we had to come back to do year after year. And thus, it's become a summer tradition, an event we center our lives around. Courage Classic weekends are an event that requires training, dedication, and sacrifice. It means giving up free time to get on the bike, peloton, or stationary bike even when we don't want to.
Furthermore, our kids have grown up with this event...participating from a very young age and so dedicated towards the cause that instead of asking for birthday presents, they ask for donations to Children's Hospital.
The team has become our extended family—past military friends, college roommates, and a diverse mix of backgrounds all coming together for a single cause.
So here we are, back for another Courage Classic. The team size depends on YOUR participation - it's the African concept of Ubuntu: we (Team Forza) are, because you are. In other words, Team Forza is only as strong as all of us...whether you're riding alongside, donating, or simply supporting us with encouragement from afar... we carry all the heart and courage of previous years, previous team members, and your spirit (in the form of donations and support).
NOTE 1: Donations make us ride faster and our lycra tighter.
NOTE 2: ****Every single cent you donate goes directly to Children's Hospital and to the kids who need you most.****
Thank you for your continued support of Team Forza and Children's Hospital.
