Courage From The Springs
My name is Sara Thinger, and I am the 2024 captain of team "Courage From The Springs." Children's Hospital Colorado is ranked nationally as one of the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the country. The Courage Classic was started 33 years ago as a primary fundraiser for the hospital and it has been an AMAZING way to bring together love, community and togetherness through a very worthy cause.
About my family...we are passionate supporters of Children's Hospital Colorado. My youngest son, Reed, was born with Spina Bifida and has benefitted from wonderful care at Children's over the past 19 years. The care and treatment we have received, from the front desk to his consultations with the surgeons, and too many tests and specaily appointments to count - has been fantastic! We have driven more too many miles to count back and forth to Aurora for Reeds appointments and hospitalizations, but it was so worth it, knowing our child is getting the best care available anywhere.
This helped me make the decision in to apply to work at Children's Hospital as a Pediatric Physical Therapist ... 8 years later I am still amazed at the wonderful TEAM I get to stand shoudler to shoudler together with collaborating on a daily basis.
AND since 2019 it's been available in COLORADO SPRINGS!!!!!!!
Children's Hospital Colorado opened near Memorial North, bringing care to Southern Colorado's children! This team's focus is to raise money to support this local hospital.. ALL FUNDS we raise STAY in Colorado Springs!
