I'll be participating in the Courage Classic ride this year, benefiting Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation. This cause is close to my heart, especially as I'll be riding in honor of the Robinson family who have spent countless hours at Children's Hospital over the past 3+ years. Ashley and Patrick are fellow Notre Dame alums.
Penelope "Pippa" Robinson, Ashley and Patrick's youngest, was diagnosed with a high-risk neuroblastoma in early 2021, and has persevered through hospital stays, a bone marrow transplant, and rounds of chemo, radiation, and immunotherapy. Conrad "Rad" is Ashley and Patrick's oldest and Pippa's best friend. During my 80-mile ride of the Copper Triangle, I'll be lifting the Robinson family up in prayer, and meditating on their struggle. My ride will be dedicated to them with these mantras:
- Pedal for Pippa
- Courage for Conrad
- Power for Patrick
- Ascend for Ashley
