This July will be my first time riding in the Courage Classic, and I'm riding for my little brother Hawkin.
Hawkin was born at Lutheran Hospital with undiagnosed TGA and then was helicoptered to Children's Hospital Colorado. He had heart surgery (The Switch) when he was 7 days old. I was 3 years old when Hawkin was born, and I would come visit him whenever I could. My parents lived with Hawk at Children's for one month. It's now six years later and thankfully he's happy and healthy and a fun little guy to have around!
I would never say this out loud, but Hawkin is my bestie and I love him!
