I am excited to dedicate my 2 day, and 86mi, bike through the White River National Forest to Jayla!
I appreciate Jayla’s family sharing their story below. Our patients and their families are so inspiring!
"Jayla Angelique was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia at 21 weeks gestation. When she was born she was also diagnosed with MAPCAs. Jayla was inpatient for 8 months and was finally able to go home to New Mexico in October of 2023. After returning to Denver in March of 2024 for her annual appointments we were informed Jayla has a minor leak in one of her valves which will require another open heart surgery in the future. For now she is thriving at home and learning so many new things. We are forever thankful for all of the amazing staff at Children’s Hospital Colorado for caring for Jayla as if she was their own child!♥"
The Courage Classic is an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for kids like Jayla.
