My passion for cycling has connected me to several organizations over the last 18 years.
This coming July, my travels will take me to Copper Mountain in Colorado. July 20-21, I will be participating in the Courage Classic. My team, Cardiac Climbers, will be riding in support of youth like my friend, Kayden.
" Kayden's journey began on March 12, 2019, at Children's Hospital Colorado, where he bravely faced challenges with Double Outlet Right Ventricle, Pulmonary Stenosis, and Mitral Atresia. Guided by the skilled hands of Dr. Morgan, Dr. Zablah, and Dr. Jaggers, Kayden underwent three interventional catheterizations and two open-heart surgeries—the Glenn and Fontan procedures.
Today, at the age of 5, Kayden embodies resilience and joy. With a heart full of love, he embraces life, always ready to share a hug with anyone he meets. His passion for dancing, singing, and acting lights up every room he enters. Though he may have half a heart, Kayden's spirit is mighty, inspiring those around him with his determination and unwavering love.
As his favorite movie character Donald Duck says, "Happiness is the richest thing we will ever own," and Kayden's happiness shines bright for all to see."
