On July 20-21 , I will be participating in the Courage Classic and riding 140 miles to raise money for Children's Hospital Colorado! This year I am dedicating my ride to my sweet patient Torrey! Torrey was born premature at 26 weeks and 6 days weighing a little over 2 pounds. Just 3 days after he was born, his bowel perforated from necrotizing enterocolitis, causing him to need emergent bedside surgery to take out some of his bowel and give him an ostomy. This was just the beginning of a long NICU journey for him, his parents Tina and Ben, and his 3 year old brother Harper. Despite having so many odds against him, this sweet boy fought through 2 surgeries, multiple blood transfusions, sepsis, meningitis, countless blood draws, and many other things. I will never forget having the privilege of helping Torrey’s parents hold him for the first time. After being in the NICU for nearly 4 months he is so close to going home!
The Courage Classic is an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for the kiddos and families I work with every day. I would love your support in meeting my fundraising goal of $500 for the NICU kiddos! Any funds raised directly benefit the patients and families we serve and every dollar makes a difference.
Thank you for your support!
