This July, I’ll be participating in my fourth Courage Classic, a two-day event in which I will ride over 120 miles to support the Children’s Hospital Colorado NICU. This year, I’m hitting the road for a very special reason - riding in honor of Owen, a brave little fighter who I had the pleasure of caring for in our NICU. Owen showed incredible strength and resilience as he battled a rare disease called Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia (ACD), which impaired his lung’s ability to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide and led to severe pulmonary hypertension.
Owen’s journey has inspired me profoundly, and with your support, we can help raise funds for our NICU to ensure that babies like Owen receive the specialized care they need.
