I am proud to be riding in my sixth Courage Classic this year with the NICU Spinning Spokes for the Littlest Folks!
I am planning to ride 140 miles through the mountain passes of Colorado to support positive outcomes for kids and families who rely on Children's Hospital Colorado for care. The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
This year we are riding in honor of a former NICU patient, Deacon. I had the honor of being one of Deacon's primary nurses during his NICU stay. Deacon was born at 26 weeks, underwent multiple procedures in the cardiac cath lab, and ultimately received a tracheostomy to provide the respiratory support he needed. He and his family have been in the hospital for nearly 300 days. He is now a thriving little guy who will get to go home very soon.

They provide expert pediatric care, participate in groundbreaking research that offers hope for families, and have amazing support services like Child Life and Medical Dog programs.
