My 10th tour!
I'm excited to be back on the bike again riding for an amazing cause.
This ride is hard. When I get tired or the road steepens, I quickly remember the patients of Children's Hospital and the challenges they face.
Childhood cancer is CONSISTENTLY underfunded, and yet it is the leading cause of death by disease in children. Out of the whole National Cancer Institute budget given every year by the government, these kids only receive 4% of it. As an example, this same 4% equals the amount of money Starbucks earns in just 5 days. Kids are worth more than coffee.
These numbers sicken me, and they should sicken you too. I'm riding in hopes of bringing awareness to this, and raising funds to help. I can't do it alone though, and I need your help. Every single cent of your Tax-deductible donation directly supports this cause. Any amount helps.
Why $2,634.39? My fundraising goal may sound like a bunch of random numbers all put together, but this number is very significant to me as it is the exact amount that stands between myself and becoming a lifetime fundraiser (10k total cumulative). Being close to this milestone means the world to me. Thank you so much for your support of Children's Hospital Colorado. I am forever grateful for you all!
