I ride to give back to the hospital that has helped my daughter not only survive, but thrive!
Gabi is now a vivacious 10 year old who loves to sing, swing and play with friends. It wasn’t always that way. On her journey to health, she has undergone 11 anesthesia events for 8 surgeries (one of them being ASD surgery to close a hole in her heart) and 3 other invasive procedures. She has been seen in 14 different specialty clinics within Children's Hospital. Luckily, we are now infrequent visitors to Children's--and that is a good thing! Just today, she asked “when do we get to go back to Children’s Hospital?” That is a testament to how amazing all of the staff have been with treating her in a kind and caring way! What child wants to go to a doctor...let alone a hospital??? We have been very lucky to have such an amazing children's hospital within our metro area.
Without the generous support of the community and donors, CHOC could not provide such compassionate care to everyone who needs i, no matter what their life circumstances are.
