Hello Everyone,
This year I am turning up the heat, the pain and the gratitude. I am humbly asking for you to turn up the donations. I will be riding over 70 miles at elevations up to 11,000'. I do this because I know both personally and professionally the importance of the support the money from this fundraiser provides.
My 7 year old son was admitted to Children's Hospital earlier this year with debilitating migratory joint pain. This instantly transformed a vibrant and very active boy from skiing, swimming and biking, to being unable to walk or pick up even small objects. The rheumatologists at Children's Hospital helped calm our fears of the unknown and allow him to heal. He is now back to the boy he was before, and we didn't go completely crazy because of the fantastic care at Children's Hospital: from the providers to the nurses to the child life specialists, everyone made us know how important our son was during our stay.
Professionally, I could not take care of an almost endless supply of kids with kidney, bladder and genitalia problems without the support of this largest fundraiser for the hospital.
I am not only donating some sweat, tears and possibly blood, but I am personally donating to this cause as well. Thank you for your support of my ride and Children's Hospital Colorado.
Thank you, thank you!
Brian
