I have had the pleasure of working in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders for 13 years. During that time, I have had the honor of meeting the most courageous patients and families. I am grateful for all that they have taught me and continue to teach me every day.
The Courage Classic and the money that is raised is vital to the specific work that I do. I direct our CCBD Wellness Team - a group of providers that addresses the psychosocial needs of our CCBD families. Not surprisingly, the patients and families experience a range of challenging emotions during diagnosis and treatment. Unforntunaly, many of the services we provide are not reimbursable through insurance, so we depend on the generous support of people like you!
